Tea Ceremony is the offspring of the strange and magical love affair between the award-winning instrumental band, Pugs and Crows, and talented and innovative, yet currently awardless, dance company, Hong Kong Exile. Blending music, dance, and theatre, Tea Ceremony explores customs and clichés. The piece highlights social expectations, archaic traditions, and the play between what we choose to do, or not to do, and the awkwardness that ensues. Expect the unexpected!
