Through the lens of Hong Kong  无厘头 (mo lei tau) cinema, NINEEIGHT  re-imagines an era of frenzied nostalgia before and after the transfer of Hong Kong’s sovereignty to the Republic of China in 1997. NINEEIGHT is commissioned by CanAsian Dance and will officially premier at Toronto’s Kick Start Festival in April 2014.
